Congress Centre
The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) is the
UK’s largest integrated meeting venue with a purpose built
auditorium seating 3,000 delegates, exhibition space and
extensive breakout facilities. Trains run from the SECC to the
city centre and take just 3 minutes.
The Centre is located on a 64 acre site on the banks of the River
Clyde. Designed by Sir Norman Foster, the venue is purpose
built and distinctive. The SECC has comprehensive catering
facilities and 3 on-site hotels. Restaurants, banking and medical
facilities are incorporated or close by.
Plenary sessions will be held in the Clyde Auditorium. Affectionately know as the “Armadillo”, this auditorium has been described as Glasgow’s most iconic building.
The exhibition and poster sessions will be held in Halls 1 and 2.

The lecture programme will be held in various meeting rooms around the congress centre as well as in the adjoining Crowne Plaza hotel.
Location
The SECC is situated by the River Clyde close to the centre of Glasgow and just off Junction 19 of the M8 motorway.
It is 15 minutes from Glasgow International Airport and has its own bus terminal and train halt. Glasgow’s main train stations – Central and Queen Street – are also within 5 minutes drive.
There is a regular bus service that runs between Glasgow International
airport and the SECC and also close to the city centre hotels.
Car parking is available for delegates in Car Park 1 of the SECC, charged at £5 upon exit.

Crowne Plaza Glasgow Hotel
The Crowne Plaza Glasgow is a four star, modern and stylish hotel overlooking the River Clyde, with a direct link to the SECC.
It is located directly opposite the Glasgow Science Centre, the new BBC and STV Headquarters and is within walking distance of the Tall Ship visitor attraction.
There is also easy access to shopping areas such as Braehead, Buchanan Galleries and Argyle Street.
Part of the lecture programme will be held here together with the short courses.
